Connor is in trouble. His whole life is one big lie and now he's on the on the run. Every moved since he abandoned his mentor has been planned out. Every corner has been checked just so he wouldn't be captured again. But now he's slipped up and now he's a target.

Emily is a failure, she can't hold a job, her parents disowned her and she's a borderline alcoholic. All Emily want's is to find her place in the world and "fit" in she loses all chance of this when she gets herself involved in bigger than all of her problems.
