Lucius Malfoy/Hermione Granger
The Wizarding World is rocked by the divorce of Hermione and Ron. All, including Draco and Lucius take Hermione's side - within little time Hermione realises her least likely ally is a wiser more thoughtful Elder Slytherin. Elder, she thinks, but not older!
He is now in his 60's though he has not aged much at all. Despite the war long since passed he still feels the need to hold something over Arthur Weasley. Three years has passed since his wife's Narcissa, unexpectedly died. On Draco's advice he finds something to preoccupy his still grieving heart - that something is fighting Hermione's right to have full custody of her own children. As she has shared - though she fears she will never see them again as her job is busier than Ron's. Her now ex-husband. Lucius see's that thirty years has done wonders for Hermione.
A new evil is threatening the Wizarding World. Ancient, Corrupt and does not care WHAT type of blood the magical person holds in their veins; this evil murders indiscriminately.
Meanwhile, during some research into where she came from on Lucius' advice Hermione finds out things about her family in the reign of James the 1st to the end of Cromwell's reign that threatens her life with her children.
Not only that it also has the potential to darken her new friendship with Draco. More importantly she realises why her kind has been so despised in the past. The more she associates with Lucius her feelings for the snaky Elder Malfoy grows. Could this research also end her new slightly odd romance with a man that almost killed her once...
... Not only that but this new evil could also change the rules on how magic is perceived in the world.
