Castiel or "Cas" Novak is a journalist/photographer who has spent his career traveling the globe in search of the perfect story. From the ruins of the Ancient Mayans to the snowy landscape of northern Russia his pursuits were always welcomed but never set him into the big time; little did he know that his biggest mystery yet was smack dab in the heart of Texas wearing a goofy, yet nearly impossibly handsome grin and a cowboy hat.

Dean Winchester has lived in Wildflower, Texas ever since he could get away from his parents, more specifically his father, more than ten years prior. After making his life and settling down, the last thing he expected was a charismatic, somewhat whimsical man to walk into his life, stirring up the very emotions that lead him to resent his father in the first place. Fear of rejection and humiliation linger in Dean's mind as he struggles with his personal identity and finds himself gravitating more and more towards the handsome stranger as free and ever flowing as the wind itself.
