Pak! My hand stings at the affect of the slap making me feel how real this is. My brother was blasting the music too loudly in the house. I guess he didn't hear it. And I guess he wouldn't care even if he did. But I felt it resonate in my room. I stare at his face. I don't know what other people would react like when your best friend kisses you out of the blue. But mine was that and the slap was instinctive. I see his expression which showed that he was expecting this from me. He was half apologetic is what I felt. He looks up at me holding his cheek which I just slapped and I thought he was handsome at that moment, out of the 15 years we've known each other. Weird but I couldn't help it. I gulp and he takes a step forward and I move back as a reflex. I don't know if it was a right decision when I came out to him and now I can't go back anyway. But will I regret it, is the question. He keeps advancing as I move back until my back hits the wall. He looks at me dead in the eyes. Stepping into Adulthood
The story is about a group of friends. They're about to graduate from high school and step into their respective college life. On one hand they have the immense pressure of the school final exam and on the other hand they're filled with nostalgia. They're about to close one chapter of their life and step into another one. The story starts on the last day at school. Coming to school together for the last time, sitting together for the last time, having lunch together for the last time, bunking classes together for the last time, getting scolded / punished together for the last time. All of these combined create an environment where the students are completely immersed into enjoying their final day at school. They'll be leaving the school soon. They'll become the past tense while a new batch takes their place and a new future waits for the present one to become past. So, everyone's busy making one last memory. Some eager to bid farewell to their friends, some taking one last shot to propose to their crushes or some maybe just want to get it over with. Overall everyone's busy trying to make their ending(of school life) a happy ending. But the pursuit of a happy ending isn't always happy. Complications are very real things.
