Raised in The Complex, the people of Ward 16 have arrived at their communal birthday to turn 18 and that means they have to face the Changing. None no what it is, what happens, where you go, all they know is that the people of that Ward never return. And raised in a Programme where emotions are thoroughly frowned upon, the fear and stress evidenced can have horrific repercussions.
This story follows the emotional journey of Evelyn, member of Ward 16, an Insentient, as she faces the Changing and all twists and turns that follow it.
The only thing that separates those in The Complex are their names and gender. It's all they have known in their short eighteen years, and so what will happen when their black and white World suddenly turns grey as Evelyn struggles on who to trust and whether or not emotions really are worth the pain.
