Made to follow, born to rule.

When a mermaid obsessed with the land attempts to escape her royal fate, disaster strikes. Imprisoned in an aquarium, she must take any action to escape and return to her home, even if that means to kill.

But when an unexpected character lands, or rather falls, into her life, the mermaid must decide between luxury and loneliness, or danger and a forbidden romance which threatens to overturn the Merfolk society as it stands.

'"Its an impossible choice," Morgan replied, her voice echoing throughout my mind. "How far would you go to have the one you love?"'

Cass has no memories of her parents, only impossible dreams of waves and orcas and, sometimes, her mother's voice. When she and her adopted aunt return to the Pacific Northwest island--where her parents died twelve years before--Cass hopes the place will trigger long-buried memories. Instead, she discovers that the impossible is real, and that history is about to repeat itself. Unless she can stop it. ***Teaser*** The water hit with such a shock of cold that Cass thought she was going to pedal up and out of it again like some cartoon character. Instead, she flailed and splashed and smashed one arm against a piling as salt water poured into her raincoat & filled her shoes. "How do you like it?" Jason yelled. She spun until she could make out his form, black against gray sky. "What?" she sputtered. She dragged one arm from the water long enough to shove wet hair from her face. Jason became clearer: black hair dark above his yellow raincoat, arms crossed over his chest. "What the hell are you talking about?" "I asked how you like it, going for a swim in this water." She was open-mouthed with disbelief. It was a bad idea; a surge lifted her and slapped salt water into her mouth. Bile burned her throat as she coughed and all the while she was still flailing at the water, fighting the drag of shoes and clothes to keep afloat. She should kick them off-that's what you were supposed to do if you fell into the ocean with your clothes on-but she was only a dozen feet from the dock. Besides, it was her only coat. Jason watched her the way she'd watch a barracuda. "I know you're following me." "Following you?" What. The. Hell. She gave a mighty kick and tossed her coat onto the dock. Jason just stood there. "I nearly drowned last week, you know that? Now you show up as if nothing happened." "Last week," Cass said slowly, "I was in Argentina." Whatever he'd seen, it wasn't her.

Prophesied at birth that she would defeat Poseidon's last remaining enemy once she reached the age of eighteen, Amarédasse has been kept virtually a prisoner in her own home and unaware of the prophecy by orders of her father, Poseidon, while her older brothers and sisters enjoy the freedom that she craves. One day, just before her eighteenth birthday, Amarédasse inadvertently discovers a secret passageway while exploring the palace basement with her cousins, Hebe and Makaria. Once the young mermaid princess uses the passageway to escape she begins to explore the outside world and she comes across a human kingdom whose patron god is none other than her own father. As Amarédasse explores the kingdom she then unknowingly meets its Crown Prince and falls deeply in love with him she is unaware that her father's enemy is watching her every move waiting for an opportunity to strip her of her life. Will Poseidon trust his daughter with the truth and tell her why he kept her locked up her whole life? Will Amarédasse fulfill the prophecy and bring the Golden Age back to all humans and merfolk? Will Amarédasse and her prince live happily ever after like her parents? Read and find out. I dedicate this sequel to my Poseidon fanfiction story to the creator of the Sims 3 machinima trilogy VanityMovies and the entire cast. Yeah, I painted the cover although even I have to admit I'm not much of an artist and I'm still learning how to work that thing.

Lirien has found refuge on land, working as a professional mermaid at a cutting-edge aquarium. Her heart, however, is caught between two worlds. She finds solace in her job-and in the company of Dexter, a marine biologist whose passion for the ocean draws her in deeper than she's ever been before. But there's more to Lirien than meets the eye, and the longer she's on land, the more the pressure from her mermaid heritage pulls at her. Torn between love and duty, she struggles to hide the truth of her origins. The closer she grows to Dexter, the harder it becomes to conceal the truth-and the physical toll it takes on her body when she's away from the ocean only makes matters worse. A research opportunity arises for Dexter that holds the promise of discovery-and danger. The island, veiled in storms and rumors, is near the secret mermaid territory Lirien fled from. As Dexter's research project grows more enticing, Lirien finds herself torn between the man she's falling for and the ocean that calls her back. But the island may be more than they bargained for-its waters have a magnetic pull that Lirien cannot resist. And with the past threatening to catch up with her, her secret life may no longer stay hidden. What will she do when the very world she's been running from comes crashing into her future with Dexter? Her heart and her heritage will collide-will she choose love, or will she return to the dangerous depths she fled?
