Jada Hearth, an ordinary 16 year old girl, gets moved from her home and friends in Brooklyn to a new school in California.
Ever since her mother died she always had a tough time handling certain things, so she depends on her aunt for guidance.
Her father tells her that everything will be fine.

After a week at her new school,  she gets attacked by a group of men with the power to control natural elements, but is saved by some students with similar abilities.
She is eventually sent to a school of Extreme Magic , Sorcery and Mastering of Elements to learn how  to embrace her inner magic and discover her true self as well of her soul mate.

Jada remembers things that should have been forgotten and has a power embedded into her soul that she is yet to unlock.

Will she discover who she was meant to be? Or will she let the world and those she loves die?

Can be read as a stand-alone with some slight cliff hangers that connect it to the second book which takes place two months after this book.
