Techno-magic book?

What started as a one-off thing may or may not be turning into a longer story. Stay tuned for a semi-compitent tale of a semi-modern semi-futuristic world with semi-fantasy elements. Ridiculous, I know. Also, parts of this story were written at very separate times, so there may be a noticeable shift in writing style, I wouldn't know, honestly.
Additionally, I'm sorry if you expected the first chapter to be a new story. It's the same one from my assortment book, more or less.
