Draco raised an eyebrow, his lip curling into a smirk.
"Well, well. Look who decided to grace us with her presence. If it isn't little Miss Sinclair. Do you think your bangs will distract people from the rest of your unfortunate face?"
Aria's eyes narrowed, and she shot back without missing a beat. "Funny you mention faces, Malfoy. Yours hasn't improved over the summer. Still looks like a hippogriff sat on it."
They stared each other down, the tension palpable as the others exchanged amused glances.
There was a begrudging admiration buried beneath the insults, though neither of them would admit it.

Draco chuckled against her neck, his hands sliding up her back as he whispered,
"It's not exactly difficult, Aria. You're as stubborn as they come, but you melt the second I touch you."
She laughed breathlessly, pulling back slightly to look him in the eye, her own filled with challenge. "Melt? I'd say you're the one who can't resist."
