Everyone always saw him as this happy-go-lucky, shameless, ignorant little boy.
Sure, he wasn't smart, but he wasn't ignorant. He knew and understood what he was, what was going on.
He knew he was the son of Satan. He knew he killed the only man he knew as 'father'. He knew he had to pretend that he was happy, for his brother's sake. He knew he had to pretend he was strong, to protect everyone he cared about. He knew he'd have to play this strong, kind, loyal, joking character. This character that was only a part of him.
