One of my first short stories, which came about from an assignment in my college Creative Writing class almost five years ago, "Two-way Street" surprises me every time I reread it. On the surface, the reader is faced with a family, traveling to a vacation at the beach. Underneath, there are many dynamics at play. I believe that's why I like going back over this one so much. Yes, I do find it lacking in some areas, which can be easily remedied, but to me, the simplicity of it leaves much to the reader's descretion. Take from it what you will, mull it over in your mind, and, if you want, leave some feedback. I'd love to hear what you pull away from their journey.
