We were watching TV, my father and I, waiting for my mother to come down. We were going to go somewhere for my birthday but it was a surprise. I was so excited and so happy. I couldn't wait. We heard some noise. My mother was there but she didn't look so well. "Meredith, what's wrong? Are you Ok?" He asked. Then I saw a red patch on her chest and a huge knife across it. "Mum!" I just wanted to feel as if someone like you exists. You were the only one who cared enough to talk to me. The only one kind enough to try to get me to say more than two words. The only one who cared enough to keep me around, I know that by the time I give you this, you won't know where I am until the end. If you skip it all, if you ignore it, or if you read it before I leave just know that nonetheless, I wanted to say thank you. There's just some things in life, I need to get off my chest and doing this, I feel like I could have someone to tell.
