It has been two and a half years since Ryuu and Midori Senshi-Hatake had fled the village hidden in the leaves.

They have completely submerged themselves into embodying the lives of an Akatsuki member.

They were ruthless, uncaring, bloodthirsty and dependable in the eyes of both the Leaf Village and Akatsuki, but only one of the two places favoured those conditions and encouraged them. But on the other hand, the former knew the truth behind their action.

Over the two and a half years since they departed, Ryuu and Midori had been spiralling into darkness, both Itachi and Sasuke fearing that they may be too far gone to be salvaged by the Leaf Village. And that thought scared the Uchiha's.

Ryuu and Sasuke's relationship had changed over the course of two and a half years, Ryuu choosing family over relationships when her hand was forced by Sasuke himself.

Midori had become an even more powerful shinobi, now being able to protect Ryuu and himself alike. He had worked hard to ensure that his sister didn't have to get any more scars protecting him, especially after she almost lost her life fighting off Hidan when he tried to sacrifice Midori.
