[blurb] "Come on Astrid," He looked at me with those puppy eyes and that charming smile that always got me to do any crazy idea that came to his wild mind. He held out his hand that wasn't attached to the handle of the black motorcycle, "Come with me." I hesitated but placed my smaller hand in his warm, calloused hand. He easily helped me onto the back of the death- machine and then used that hand to push back some of his black hair that was flying wildly due to the wind. "I'm nervous Jake." I said into his back when he grabbed my arms and wrapped them around his waist. I leaned my head on his back and looked off to the side. He placed his helmet on and then handed me one with a smile. "Don't worry Ash, you're safe with me." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18 year old, Astrid Barnette is just like any other normal girl in high school. There's one difference though. She has an inoperable brain tumor on the left side of her brain, too close to major nerves to be able to operate on. She was told she only had two years to live. That was a year ago. Now she has one year to live and instead of living the rest of her life to the fullest, she's shying away from the inevitable and is only focusing on the negative. Maybe it just takes a special someone in town to show her the positive in life again. [Mature: may be some language]Todos los derechos reservados
