War has been raging on with no end in sight between the fae and the Bellators for centuries. Both sides recklessly taking out the other with no regard to the moral customs of war. Places of worship are annihilated, neighborhoods razed and children and women killed with no end. The only hope that the fae have is the prophecy left behind by a seer from when the war first began. It speaks of a phoenix and a dark dragon that are told to save the world from descending into chaos. 

As the second oldest royal child Abelie has always seen it as her duty to try and find a way to end the war. In order to do this she and her twin brother, the first born royal child,  join an elite group of warriors, without her parents permission, to see the war first hand. With the ear escalating to unforeseen circumstances, will she be able to find the solution or will she and her kingdom fall to destruction?
