Rehisima's king is a self-destructive force, dedicated on taking his kingdom down with him, just to satisfy the bitterness that festers in his black heart. He can have no love, no affection while he rules, taking his inexplicable rage out upon his siblings, his wife and those who protect him.
Irinaldel is the light he had never understood, a warmth that the deepest part of him yearns to feel. In her presence, the darkness pressing in on the sun-elven king is temporarily lifted.
But with all beautiful things, there is a slight catch, a hindrance to his love, made even worse by the fact he is king.
