Private Douglas Pryor has recently graduated from the Aerospace Combat and Defense Academy and is recruited by one of the many Defense Contract Agencies throughout the Galaxy. Their purpose is to defend settlements from pirates, keep the peace, and even prevent other agencies from taking over their clients. Pryor is just looking for a quiet position in which he can do more relaxing and fraternizing with the locals than actual labor but is quickly shaken out of this misconception when DRAGON Corp. goes against agency regulations and begins it's bloody conquest of star systems.
