It is 2017. Arthur Pendragon rises from the lake of Avalon in a strange and unfamiliar land, and is greeted by his servant and best friend Merlin. Merlin, who over the years has become insane and depressed, is overjoyed by his master's return. At first. As time goes by, Arthur continues to prove how useless he is in the 21st century. However hard he tries, he continues to mess things up and get arrested. Arthur starts to feel absolutely useless compared to the warlock, especially after finding out about his abilities. Hopelessness starts taking over his mind, until he convinces himself he has no purpose without his Camelot, and is only a weight on his friend's shoulders. However confused he may be, he knows one thing.
He has to leave this place. Now.
All characters belong to BBC. This is slash fan fiction and involves homosexuality. If you don't like it don't read it.

I miss me
They try to run but there's no time. We try to hide but there's No TIME. when I was a kid, I tried to learn all I could but now I wish I could lose it all. <TW: As I lay here choking on my blood I stare at the heavens and ask for one last ray to see me off. As the rain washes my blood along the earth, being soaked in by the hungry land. That day something was different, something changed in me. A new light shines deep within me, my torso once in two now slowly becoming one as black tar slowly stitched me back together. The greedy land soaks up my blood, now not a drop lies in my body but the gods are ready as the earth slowly starts to reach for me taking me to its restless lands replacing my blood with tar. ^ This fic is a combination of a BBC's Merlin set in the future/ current times but it's more of an Adjacent timeline to ours, OC insert, and a bit of Arthurian myth set in the modern day. And it seems like this one with Merlin is going to be shorter and worse than most. It is not just that he is forgetful, or disappears for days on end, but it seems like he had no grasp of common human behaviour. But despite everything, they manage to forge a friendship, and one night, long-kept secrets are revealed, pledges and sacrifices made, and a new era birthed.Complete

Just random Merlin oneshots. I try my best to be as original as possible. Goes from being sad, to funny, to mad.... You get the gist. I don't ship Arthur and Gwenivere, so in most one shots, they never married. Most will probably be Pinterest inspired. Some ideas are taken from other books I've read and turned into my own.
