Dream:
I was waking up. I looked around to find the galaxy in front of me, except for it wasn't what I thought it'll look like. I tried to walk but I didn't feel my legs. I panicked and quickly looked at where my legs were suppose to be :they weren't there. I felt the urge to scream in terror and I did. Only to realize that I didn't even make a noise. I looked down at where my legs were suppose to be again only to find a whisp of smoke coming from my bottom half. I tried to rub against my arm but my hand just ran past it. I tried it again and again, over and over just to find out my hand would go through my arm. I tried to think how this was possible and came up with 2 theories. 1. An alien put a serum in me making me hallucinate or 2. I was in some sort of dream. I figured option 1 would be too unbelievable even though how cool it is and decided I was in a dream. But if I was in a dream how am I able to think so clearly. Just as I thought that I felt my mind being sucked. Then I felt myself falling.

Reality
I woke up with a sudden dash. The first thing I did was to touch my arms and I was able to. I tried standing and was able to . I ran to my bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. I was still me. I was still Aleck F., a 16 year old boy with black hair, blue eyes, and 6ft tall. As I stared at myself in the mirror , I wondered what my dream was about.

My conclusion: Now, currently 33 years old (in 2024), I feel comfortable with the research I've done, reaching a point where reality to me - is the dream and the dreams, are the real reality! And, it all started with that one vision I got, as I had just turned 13. It made life look like a big simulation, partly fabricated... like in a game. I have sat often in front of the computer, and stared long at the screen without ever writing a word. The synopsis for this project has haunted me since the first person asked me "So, what is it about?", and to this day I have never been able to deliver a straight answer. This book is about a number of things, many of which do not fit evenly into a succinct description. I have tried to make them fit and have found the resulting descriptions ill-representing and dull. Thus, I have decided to go without a description. This book will fade into obscurity no matter what I put here, so I might as well write what's really important. Winter in a city is an especially punishing time. This book comes out of my late nights and early mornings riding the train, and my looking at the window and being able to make out nothing but the blur of the glass. From the outside it may look dead, but certain people know that the inner workings of a city are a true marvel to behold. In writing this, I have tried to capture that marvel and deliver it to you, the reader. This is a book about a city and the people within it. The rest is up for you to read, if you so choose. I fight to stand, stronger this time with anger as fuel. He backs up, his breath increasing. Obviously, uneasy, I take it as a win and almost stand all the way. "You. What are you doing here? How did you find this place!" He switched to angry. "You! You're the reason! They put me back because of you! It was all cause of you! It was your fault! All of it!" I'm so angry I yell only what I can. My thoughts flying through my head I can only yell unexplained nonsense. I've never felt anger like this before. The red glow lightly pours off my own skin and I take notice to it. I compare it to the glow coming off of him. Suddenly, it's an instinct to allow the anger to explode and in doing so the red glow is taken from his chest as I absorb it all and throw it out in all directions. I yank down away from the boy holding me just as the red glow gets sucked from him, absorbed into my hands, and then thrown out in a sphere of red glow.
