Cliche. I know I know. Bad boy meets the nerd. But hey this story may just be not cliche enough yet still cliche to meet your likings. Meet Lennon. Obviously, the nerdy girl. She mostly keeps to herself. Sits in the back of the room with her hair always covering her face. Her bulky glasses frame her face largely but she doesn't mind much. Her best-friend is the head cheerleader and she always tries doing things to Lennon to make her more outgoing. then in English class she has to make a story of herself and her partner. Named Parker. Meet Parker. Bad-Boy of the school. Mostly closed out. Has one friend they are pretty close. Most of the girls go after him but very un-cliche. Not the head-cheerleader. He never really knew why because that is usually what happens. As a matter of fact most of the cheerleaders barely look at him. He is very cocky and rude to the girls he does know though. GPA, friends, enemies, prom, graduation, everything that you think would make high school good and bad for the future. Now scratch off friends, GPA, prom, and graduation. Saint Johnathan Pier is the one high school in the city where everything happens and normally, stuff you wish you didn't see. Everyone warned people about the dangers of the students going there but did they ever mention the people already broken by it? They were dubbed "the rainbow colors of society" just because they were different from other students in this school. But there's a slight differential between them: four of these students are popular while the other four are normal. While the four populars are seen as "superior, hot, and intimidating", the four normals are seen as "weirdos, weaklings, and irreverent bystanders". Being different from the other kids has always been a struggle for all of them since grade school, but they try to keep that out of mind. But with their dark history following them at every corner, making new friends can't be on their list. Matter of fact, it isn't an option. Especially when their attitudes are what drive people away rather than in. Not like they're complaining though. When these eight students get paired up for an end of the year assignment, they encounter a lot of drama that will test their relationships to the max. What will happen to them? Can they grow comfortable with each other? Can these troubled teens even be friends in the first place? Once she finds out that the high school crush of every pubescent girl is the son of her father's friend, she's suddenly treated like the Queen of England. Her routines change as she is no longer able to go through her senior year peacefully. Will everything go wrong? Will her life be changed by one of the hottest guys in school? Disclaimer: this story depicts bullying and abuse that I (a then 13 year old) was unbeknownst to exaggerated and socialized ignorance. I very much don't agree with some decisions to move the plot forward though the story isn't all that. For young women reading, the treatment and abuse of some of these characters is absolutely unacceptable and be aware of that. This is just a trigger warning.Complete
