Things couldn't get any worse than it already has for 18 year-old Alex Newman. He's been in a VERY cramped Vault for all of his life. He's always teased for being the only smoothskin (not a ghoul) in the entirety of Vault 62. Even his sister, Jenny, ridicules him. And she's six years old! One day, the vault dwellers run out of food. Alex is forced to leave the vault (since he is the only smoothskin) and embarks on a journey all across Alaska. He encounters many terrifying threats and some of his greatest allies. This is my first real book. Hope you enjoy!
