Avengers/ Bucky fanfic, takes place during Civil War [spoilers] [Book 1 of 2-setup for original storyline]
Aleksandra Baran grew up with her younger brother, raising him after her parents died when she was twelve. She found solace and eventually an income through street fighting until SHIELD came to her asking her to join their program as an agent. She refused at first but eventually had no other option but to work alongside the Avengers to help save the world. However, her trust in SHIELD wavered when the Sokovia Accords split the group in half. Now she had to choose a side, possibly becoming a deciding factor in the Civil War.
