I watched my feet as I kicked them around. My thighs pressed against the cool marble counter top. "It's 11:11 Miranda. Make a wish!" I smiled at her, hoping to cheer her up. "I... I wish... I wish we could go home." She whipped away a few fresh tears. They spilled from her perfect green eyes and slid down her cheek. I reached over and hushed her. "Be quiet Mirny... don't let them hear you say that." Panic trailed in my voice.
