Janelle is a girl of twelve years, who started seeing ghosts at nine for unknown reasons. Unfortunately for Janelle, she is considered a Shaman; and Shamans are a kind of Humans that can see, talk with and control the spirits. However, Shamans are hated by normal Humans to the extent that they are killed upon sight.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, in a kingdom hidden from Human eyes, the Elves reside. King Tekaron tries to defuse the tension that arose within his Kingdom upon the arrival of a worrisome message. The Elves fear that history is repeating itself.
