"Oh, my God..." Dean whispered, finally releasing the grip he had on the pistol behind his back, reaching up a hand to run down his face.

"I think it clicked in the pretty head of his," Karoline mocked, tilting her head with a wide smirk.

"Karoline and Alayna," he finally realized, letting out a humorless chuckle as he shook his head. "I think the last time we saw each other, Karoline was 17 and a little on the handsy side," he smirked and Karoline merely smirked right back.

"Oh, no need to be so formal Dean-o, we're all friends here. You can call me Kare," she placed a hand on her chest mockingly.

Dean scoffed, "Friends is a bit of a strong word."

When Alayna (Nina Dobrev) and Karoline Van Allen (Candice King) were just kids, their mother, Hannah, was horribly murdered in front of their father, Tom (Robert Downey Jr.) by something "supernatural". Their lives were never the same again.

After their mother's murder, their father took an interest in the supernatural, hunting alongside his best friend John Winchester (Jefferey Dean Morgan) He raised the girls as warriors - with skills to fight back against the unknown and protect the innocent. 21 years later, with Alayna and Karoline now grown up, their father suddenly disappears on a supposedly 'routine' supernatural hunt with John.
