"You know Ana, life is like a camera. You have to focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things dont work out, simply take another shot" advised River in his deep and comforting velvet voice. And for the first time since the incident, a surge of bravery engulfed me as I entered through the gates with new found confidence. Time to face the monster that had made my life a living hell. Life, for 17 year old Nirvana Evans, is anything but easy. Being labeled as the germ freak in school is not fun and if it hadn't been for her best friend Will, she probably would have never endured it. But having only one year left makes Nirvana realize that she doesn't simply want to survive anymore, she wants to stand out. So what happens when she attends the annual senior bonfire party and the events of the night lead to a chain of consequences that could change her life for good. This is a story about love, loss, friendship, learning to accept who you are and a crazy love triangle with some unexpected surprises along the way. So strap in and hold on tight because Nirvanas life is anything but a smooth ride.

Trigger warning for the following: -mature content -some strong language -fighting -mentions of abuse Everything was cool. It was fine and normal until, a new family moves I'm next door. The beautiful family seemed normal enough, but something was off. Their son didn't fit into the rest of them. He was mysterious and seemed a little bit standoffish. He seemed rude and like he didn't belong. Meeting him went well, and she catches his eye. Going to school together and their families spending some time together causes them to grow closer. So close that things happen. What happens? Do sparks fly?
