One day the Guard was patrolling and went to the Watering Hole because it was so hot out, when they get there a few moments passed and Kion gets bit by a snake and he gets horribly sick and possibly dying. She knew him as a cub and thinking about him getting taken away like that, it makes her sad and it doesn't help with the feelings she has for him.
