When you're not like everyone else, it's hard to fit in. At Aberdeen High School, there are two very different groups of people. There are the pops, which are the popular kids. Then there are the misunderstood kids, that come from crazy homes, like rock music, dress differently. They are the peculiar. Aberdeen High School is split up between pops and peculiars, but there's more peculiars than pops. In this book, we focus on a small group of peculiars, that are a bit more peculiar than the rest.

They're obsessed with Nirvana. All eleven of them. One even met Kurt Cobain. They lived In the same neighbor with Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic, before they became famous. In a few weeks, they're going to see them live, and they can't wait.
