*Time: 1992* *Setting: Aberdeen, Washington* When you're not like everyone else, it's hard to fit in. At Aberdeen High School, there are two very different groups of people. There are the pops, which are the popular kids. Then there are the misunderstood kids, that come from crazy homes, like rock music, dress differently. They are the peculiar. Aberdeen High School is split up between pops and peculiars, but there's more peculiars than pops. In this book, we focus on a small group of peculiars, that are a bit more peculiar than the rest. They're obsessed with Nirvana. All eleven of them. One even met Kurt Cobain. They lived In the same neighbor with Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic, before they became famous. In a few weeks, they're going to see them live, and they can't wait.

A story of two people living a lifestyle where it can sometimes seem like the party never stops. Kurt and Lily are trying to figure out how to keep their passionate relationship alive when everything from fame to drugs is tearing it apart. From the start of the story in the spring of 1990, to the height of Nirvana's fame, Lily and Kurt navigate the trials of young love in entirely uncharted territory... Much of the inspiration for this storyline came from The Menzinger's song and music video for After The Party (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghTYSXQnqbg) as well as the album itself so I'd highly recommend watching and listening in order to understand the full picture. Thanks so much and I hope you enjoy :)
