Ashley Carter and Skylar Jones are the best of friends, they do everything together, literally. They had finally finished up high school and wanted to do something fun in the summer, instead of just going to the beach or hanging out around Virginia. Boring. The two of them decided to go on a road trip, it took a lot of begging to their parents but they finally let them go, since the two girls got accepted into great colleges and graduated from high school with As and a few Bs.

Everything was going smooth until they reached New York and ran out of gas in the middle of the highway. It was only 10 hours from home, they could have called their parents, but didn't want to, afraid of what they would say. Luckily, if it wasn't for a passing by tour van they would have called their parents to pick them up, but four special guys asked Ashley and Skylar to tag a long with them for the summer. Ashley wasn't expecting to find love again, after what happened in her past, and she sure wasn't expecting to find love with someone she thought she hated...

"I love how this book is turning out!😍 Not cliche at all!" - i_hatecliche "We might live next door to each other," Haley said, "but we don't live in the same world." Hooking her fingers around her backpack straps, she walked away from Jace. She had barely gone a few steps before he was at her side again. "What makes you believe we don't live in the same world?" he asked. "As far as I can tell, we do." "No, we don't. I'm...me and you're Jace Cortez. The dream of every girl. The friend to every guy. The star of the school. Girls. Sports. You're the ultimate player." "It sounds like you have a preconceived notion of who I am." "And it's one that has yet to be proven wrong." From books and a lifetime of sitting on the sidelines, Haley is convinced she knows how the world works, specifically high school. Everyone has a label and a box they fit in. This knowledge, paired with parents who are fighting, a brother leaving soon for college and a best friend who moved away has made her decide to never get involved. It will take being forced to work with her fellow juniors on a project, a boy next door with a infectious smile, a star gazer with an adorable puppy, and an unlikely pair of fangirls to make her see how truly wrong she was about everything. "IT'S NOT CLICHÉ!!!" - Moria987 "This is the reason y I keep coming back to this book...It's simply a breathtaking journey" - mariyamsajorawala "I don't usually comment but this is one of the best books I've read here. I love the fact that it's realistic and focuses on things that really hinder human interaction, perceptions and stereotypes." - yurfavegal "just gets better and better. How are all your characters 3D! Like this writing is so beautiful" - CrazyStarChick "Reading it for the second time, and the book still brings a smile to my face 😆" - grumpymood "She's practically Carter's twin 😂😂" - Guardian_21 #1 Breakingcliches #1 Arrogant #6 in Teen Romance

Nothing to lose

39 parts Complete

My best friend Greyson McNamara and I have been partners in crime for a while now. Pranks, sneaking out to go to parties, joy riding in our parents' cars, all that crazy teen stuff, we made a pact to do together. And surprise surprise, dating each other was never on that list. I mean it's not like Grey is a bad looking guy or anything. Wink wink. Now back to that no dating thing. For years, we heard about how we would be a cute couple and how we are perfect for each other. Of course, we always laughed it off until one day we didn't. Our senior year has ended with two back to back breakups and all we can think is that we have nothing to lose. That includes us thinking that it can't hurt to try to date each other for the summer before college. We made a promise to each other that we'll stay friends no matter what. Like I said we have nothing to lose. But what if I'm wrong?
