Akira Miyamoto takes her new doll everywhere. She sleeps with her, bathes with her, combs her hair. She can't get enough of the beautiful, life-size doll. But then, strange things begin to happen when the doll is around. Frightening things. Dangerous things. Akira nearly gets severely injured several times. She even wakes up to see her other stuffed toy ripped to shreds. Then her mother gets her a new doll, a much more plain and simple one, and Akira tries to forget about the other doll. But slowly, the simple rag doll is revealed to have strange properties as well. Akira begins to wonder if dolls are really worth playing with.
