She's alone, trapped, and scared. She's gone through a hell of a lot already, and God knows all that torture had to mean SOMETHING. One is not simply locked up and treated to a full course of agony, with a side dish of anguish to boot. There's always a reason. But she hopes against all hope that, some day, the pain will stop.
