A mate is someone who you will want to spend the rest of your life with, a soul mate.  You protect each other.  You can't even imagine life without them.  But I didn't know having a mate could get you killed.
Sky was an ordinary fifteen year old wolf until she met her mate, Jaxx.  When Sky turned sixteen and shifted, her and Jaxx found out they have a connection that hasn't happened for centuries, and its a curse.  This power awakens the half blooded wolfs.  These wolfs are worse than Rogues.  They can take down another wolf with just one blink of an eye.  Since the curse has been lifted, Sky finds out her terrifying past that has put every wolf pack in danger.  The curse is lifted, so the Half Bloods are back to finish what they started.
