[Book 1] Crawlers: once normal people like you or me. They had hobbies, families, friends, interests, but now they are feral monsters. The infection spread, wiping out almost half the human race, and leaving the rest as either Crawlers or Survivors. The infected's eyes will black out, before giant, black, bug-like legs will rip out of their back, giving them a newfound speed and agility, as well as an insatiable bloodlust. The Inevitable
It's been 8 months since a dangerous, mind-affecting, violent and sentient pathogen ravaged Earth and became a Wasteland with only 15% of the human population still intact and the remaining percentage had been either killed or infected. Now a strange force rises as the society now known as the "The Red Order" is now aware of the capabilities of the said pathogen, which may fear the incoming of what is known as "The Inevitable," as shown in the prophecy of the Red Order. A team of specialized forces from the Red Order embark on a journey to discover the Inevitable, hoping to develop a way to stop the prophecy. But as the day proceeds, the infected are learning much faster and are catching up. Will they proceed or will the prophecy be fulfilled? The Infection is caused by a strain of bacteria similar to that of Yersinia pestis. The infected are merciless, violent, sentient and somehow exhibit a sociopathic tendency. Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This book has a slightly darker outlook at the beginning than my usual stories, but it has some humor further along.
