Carter Lestrange got brought up in danger. She was kept a secret between Severus, Bellatrix and the Malfoys. Carter was forbidden to go to Hogwarts as Bellatrix didn't want to put her in danger being her only daughter. Voldemort finds about the hidden daughter as he tries to get her to become a death eater but Bellatrix wouldn't let her. Draco was there for her through the war as Severus cared for her like his own.
