On top of that he killed Black Death a demon who destroyed much of New York. Shadow is the name he goes by as no one has ever seen his face and only a handful know his true identity.
After a year as an Elite he disappears, after the battle with Black Death, and begins a new life at the Academy but his now simple life is turned upside down by a tough as nails cocky new kid who wants William to teach her despite how he portrays himself.
Then the demon activity around the world is picking up and no one knows why. Can he keep his secret? One that is the key to the demons domination of earth and could spell his own doom. Doom by the hands of the very people he swore to protect. The entire human race.

It's dark in the closet, I can just vaguely see his features and realise how close we're standing. Like, really close. My chest is toughing his and my hand is resting on his shoulder.
