In a land long forgotten is a valley. All manner of creatures lived in peace among the rocky greenery. Or as peaceful as possible. Villages consider the land sacred. Every year the sixteen year old children pour in one side, only a few make it out the other. The week long track kills off most of them. Parents beg their young to remain home but most still go in thinking the risk far less than the reward.
Familiars, that's why they pour in and rush out. Only Warriors may enter. None are certain how it happens but within a week of return, an animal becomes the survivers familiar. In some cases even a whole herd or even a couple different animals will follow the warrior.
Diana should have been a lady, but her soul was never ment for house work. Follow her as she fights for rank and unknowingly falls in love.

Organisms started to exist and live on the insignificant planet known as Earth in the middle of a galaxy out of the endless void that is space. A Familiar: An animal that chooses a human to bond with. The bond between the human and animal are created out of acceptance of both. The human can use the animal's traits. So if you were bonded with a bird, you could transform your arms into wings and fly. If you were bonded to a rabbit, you could transform your ears into rabbit ears for great sense of hearing. But Familiar's can be anything. From a sparrow, to the largest of all Familiars, a dragon. But creatures like dragons live in Dragon Mountain, and are very protective of each other if they don't have a human that they are bonded to.Complete

started late 2017, completed as of the 27th of December, 2019. it's old and messy but it was my first proper story that I worked hard on and finished :) Tsaganari is almost definitely the last adult dragon alive. All sixteen hatchlings are her responsibility and dragonkind's future. But, these dragonets didn't hatch normally. They're bloodthirsty and animalistic, motivated by primal instinct. They hardly resemble the proud and complex dragons of the past, with intricate societies and ever-growing knowledge. It all would've worked out if it wasn't for humans. Istania never thought her two-week holiday to Iceland would be confusing, much less dangerous. And yet, she ends up being knocked out outside her hotel and re-awakened...in a cave full of dragons, for crying out loud. The world as she knows it has faded, giving way to one that's wild, involving running for her life countless times, flying, and even...relationships. However, after all this, Tsaganari's intentions have never been very clear. Just as everything seems to be settling down, she tells them the truth.
