Welcome to Nerve. A game like Truth or Dare- minus the truth. Watchers pay to watch. Players play to win cash and glory. Dares given by the watchers, dares accepted or denied by the players. Once a dare is denied you are disqualified. Team up with other players to complete the impossible. The longer you play, the more money you win, the harder the dares become. Do you have the nerve?" Vee's a senior in high school, who has her entire life planned out (down to the hour). She's comfortable with a schedule, it's what she knows best. When a simple app takes over her friends' lives she has nothing to do, but wonder, 'Why is this so intriguing?' Sean, one of Vee's very close friends, has become a constant watcher of the game Nerve. Due to his interest (along with threatening bankruptcy), Vee decides to check it out. She thinks it's just a silly game until she gets dared to play. Vee is enjoying the most heart throbbing, frighteningly lovely dares with her new partner- Ian. It's all fun and games when you get to play the same game Vee does. Ignoring the warning signs, Vee stays in the game longer than she should have. Nerve takes a frightening turn for the worst, and Venus' stable, simple life is turning to borderline madness.
