Hope returns to New Orleans for the first time after 14 years have passed since her father's sacrifice for the Mikaelsson family. On the eve of her 17th birthday, Hayley her mother gives her the letter that Klaus had left behind for her. Angered and confused she returns to New Orleans to fight against Marcel who is now the dictator of the French Quarter. She will do whatever it takes to reunite with her family.
