Katniss is a rebel at her old schools but she got kicked out so she has to go to Panem high school where she meets her long lost best friend Finnick when she be-friends his group she meets a blond boy with ocean blue eyes and she falls for him in a heart beat and she thinks she loves him, but what does love feel like? And should she tell him about her dark yet strange past? Peeta easily falls for Katniss he wants to know more about her, her family,her life and he knows she has some secrets. He knows he loves her but he's scared she doesn't feel the same way. (This book has some parts where there is self harm if this is a strong topic for you I suggest you don't read or skip the parts)

The Big Boy, the capitol city, is like a helicopter parent and keeps the Districts under their thumb by sending one boy and girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Fun Games, a fight to the death on live TV. Sixteen year old Kantmiss Neverclean regards it as a 'sick party bro' when she brutally takes her sister's place in the Games. She's kind of a bully. But Kantmiss has been to a party before, but her friends kicked her out so she shot them all with a machine gun. Hence the name Kantmiss. So partying is definitely a real treat for her.
