It's the year 3061. The world is a different place than you know it to be. The seraphim arrived here in the year 2816. Hoards of angels clad in snow white robes descended from the bright blue sky, wings flickering in the fickle wind. We thought they would be our salvation sent from the mighty power above. We thought they would fix everything. We were wrong.

    We have been taught we are the only ones that can hurt ourselves. We are the only ones that could end this Earth. We have been taught wrong. There are forces surrounding us, controlling us, watching us and making sure we fail as a race. There are also forces helping us be better, guiding us towards a more enlightened present and future and both forces have been around us forever. But what if these forces are and have been in a war for thousands and thousands of years. On one side, they want to slave us on the other they need us to be prosperous and reach happiness with ourselves and our lives. What if Angels were just like us? They have their strengths we have our own. What if they had the same issues as we do? Up there or wherever they are coming from. We have a mission in this lifetime, they have the same mission through all their existence. We change our mission with every lifetime, they don't. This would make some Angels feel anger for humankind and there are those who see it as the Father's command and wish and comply just as they were told to do. It is written they had a weakness for human females and it is also written they procreated with them. This story is about the first Angel born from a human female and an Angel who has lived among us since the beginning of time but we have come to the end of times and with it, Angels, the ones on our side, the ones against us, the ones who don't care, and us humans, are facing the end of existence right now.

    Nearly 500 years ago, the Angels of Heaven 'fell', cast out by God. The Humans, so full of sin, no longer had a place beside God. The Angels now live among the Humans on Earth. The Humans have developed the ability to see our wings, wings the purest colour of white- that is, until we sin. The moment an Angel sins, their wings turn darker and darker gray, until they're pure black. This is our world now.

    I knew there was always something special about me. I knew I was different from all the other girls. I could feel things before they actually happened, hear things nobody else could. I wasn't normal, there was just something there. In no way though, had I expected to be told that not, was I only half human, but 50% angel, and not an angel of heaven. A fallen angel, damned, yet given a second chance to make things right, to be rescued before taking the wrong turn in my life that shamed me from my existence in heaven. Only problem, someone wants me to stay damned, to never become the angel I was meant to be. They'll stop at nothing to kill me, plus I have no clue what exactly I'm fighting against and on top of it all I am nothing without my locket. My locket is my true source of power, it's what kept me alive that terrible night.

    *Featured on Fantasy's Dark Fantasy reading list!* ► Book One of the Wings Trilogy This is, by no means, a story for those light of heart. This is also, unfortunately, a true story. I am a doctor with wings, one who doesn't belong here. I know, stereotypical. But it's true. Still confused? I used to be an angel. I caused the apocalypse of the planet inhabited by the very creatures I was supposed to help. It was the only way to help them, really. But that's a different story for a different day. Now, the surviving humans have emerged from the rubble, soaking in the damage left over from my destructive actions. What are they supposed to do about that? I have been cast upon earth, given the task of taking care of them and healing them. I suppose I have to clean up after myself. I doubt, however, that I have any chance of returning home to Elvirund. Or, as the humans call it, Heaven. You see, all of them are wounded. He's set to become an archangel, and won't allow even the smallest bend in the rules. When sent sent to earth, the two are about to learn a lot of things. Everyone does. She learns the truth of her existence. He learns that being a good leader doesn't mean being his brother. The angels learn that different isn't so bad. The demons learn that Heaven has been keeping secrets. And along the way, falling in love is inevitable. Heaven and Hell are about to collide on Earth.

    BOOK 1 From the moment the Declaration of Independence was signed, there were people who didn't agree with it. This included a small group of politicians who called themselves Chaos. They vowed to someday take over America and start over with a utopian society where everyone would have a common goal. They slowly infiltrated the government, filling it with corrupt leaders. They planned a mass attack on the U.S. on July 2, 2076, Americas 300th birthday. On that day, they assassinated the president and began bombing in New York. Unfortunately, Chaos only had about 200 soldiers so they came up with a technology to implant a chip in the nervous system and essentially control them. So basically, each solider could make a civilian a soldier and the civilian would be forced to fight and make soldiers of their own. The whole operation snowballed and everything went according to plan. Unlike in other stories, there is no hope and the only way to survive is though the CPO (citizen protection organization), created by Benjamin Franklin. It's a system of secret subway tunnels, used to evacuate civilians to safely. Out story begins on July 2, 2076 when the first bomb drops. Madalyn Grace and her friends are caught in this apocalypse and must find away to leave.

However, when we fell like lightning from Heaven, Lucifer began to hate all of heaven and the world...even me! That was when I realized my mistake. I wouldn't follow someone who hated me. When we reached Earth, I stopped as many of my brothers as I could to save us. From then on, I became the Leader of the New Order. We were the remaining fallen angels. Exiled from Heaven and unwanted from Hell, Earth became our new home. We stayed there to protect the humans through whom we lost heaven. This way, we could redeem our old rank in heaven. From the moment we fell, we knew we couldn't make any mistakes. We were unwavering against evil.
