Seventeen-year-old Jinx Keller has always been one of those pretty artsy girls that doesn't mind the spotlight from time to time. But when her scatterbrained mother is killed in a freak car accident one night, Jinx is devastated and ends up taking more than her fair share of the spotlight while the cops investigate the matter. Bad things do happen. Jinx picks up the shattered pieces of her heart and tries to move on to take care of her younger twin siblings, Aislin and Lex. But since their mother is dead, they are forced to move halfway across the country to New York City to live with their wayward father, who walked out on them for another woman when Jinx was eight. Then, Jinx meets Ethan Butler. Who's Ethan? Only her dad's roommate's son Austin's best friend. Things get a little complicated when Jinx learns that both Austin and Ethan have developed feelings for her. Love triangle, anyone?
