But Meredith is now the mighty princess of the vines. And how do you rescue someone who doesn't want to be saved? I had some format issues, but I hope it doesn't take away from the story. Though she is eighteen for various reasons he has been designated as her guardian. It has been several months since the events that led to her being changed and saved. Now Dan is forcing her to return to the hell she calls high school to get her diploma. How is she going to deal with having guys, and a few girls, hitting on her? Is her wolf going to help or be a problem? What does her future really look like? Will the new friends she is slowly making be true or fake? She is most definitely not looking forward to all the drama of kids who haven't encountered both the supernatural and living on the streets. The idea of this story has hit me square to the face when I watched one of my favorite novellas on television. Leslie Garcia has been a sweet little 9 year old girl and then her world is crushed when she finds out she suddenly has cancer. Everyone is worried and they are doing the best she can but just doesn't want it. Finally, a chance to see her dad again. She hasn't really been scared of death though sometimes it frightens her with curiosity about after life. Alex, her best friend, have known each other for a long time and he feels very protective over her like taking care of her, checking in on times, and keeping her away from the idiots at school who keep calling her names. Ashley, Leslie's older sister, has been crushed by the news and does not know what to do anymore. She is the one left taking care of Leslie but all she can do is cry and try not to let her think of death or any of that sort.Complete
