The Portrait of an Unknown Lady / H.S

Sara May Walters is a 19-year-old aspiring scientist who, blinded by passion and affection, attempts to create the world's first ever time machine in her garage in Stoke Newington and dedicates her time fully to the realization of the former ambitions of her grandfather, Cassidy Roy Walters, and latter her own - as she grew up watching him work and was inevitably impacted by his drive. When Cassidy is diagnosed with cancer and finds himself unable to keep up with the project, Sara takes up his role completely and decides to make the machine work in honour of her beloved relative, whom she regarded as a professor, a parent and a best friend.

On the 30th of January, she is accidentally transported to the middle of Victorian London - the year of 1879 - where, in the midst of a feast, she meets her only chance of ever coming back to the present time, a young man named Harry Styles, a French socialite who has himself an untold story to tell. For the following months, Sara must focus on starting everything all over again so she can come back - but when love begins to become a prominent part of her life, Sara must rethink of her priorities.
The colliding of the boldest of two completely different worlds - and how this collision creates, by itself, a new faraway world, not quite present and not quite past, a place not even time can touch. A space where the names of love and hope remain forever in history, engraved in words of undying memory.
