Like most people, Kaelyn had always dreamed of becoming a Pokémon Trainer and travelling the world. It wasn't until one eventful night on her holiday in Hoenn however, that she realised the importance of the bond between human and Pokémon. Inspired by witnessing a prelude of the dire state of the planet and all life upon it, Kaelyn officially began her Pokémon journey with three clear goals in mind: Help people and Pokémon everywhere; become strong and be able to fight the villainous Team Purge and finally, always try to have fun. This is the story of Kaelyn's adventure across two whole regions and the friendships she forms while travelling and learning.

Ashley Ketchum's alarm clock blared like a wild Jigglypuff concert gone wrong. She groaned and slapped at it blindly, missing twice before finally smacking it silent with a loud clunk. The sunlight was merciless, creeping in through the gap in her curtains and landing right across her face. "Ugh, Sun! Take a hint," she mumbled, yanking her blanket over her head. After visiting with her family and friends in Pallet Town, she headed to Cerulean Cape to visit Bill, who started up Crystal's PC Pokémon storage system. Bill was in the middle of an experiment and Crystal offers to help, which brings her the ability of a Ditto: the ability to change into any Pokémon. That is, with practice.
