18 year old Riley has never known life outside of the concrete walls of the Compound and the routine that comes along with it. However all of this changes when Riley is ripped from the Compound into a world she believed was uninhabitable, where society has been rebuilding itself after the ruin of war.
As Riley learns more about this new world, everything she once believed to be true begins to crash around her as she finds herself unsure of where she fits between the Compound and the outside world, but neither world seems to be all that it's cracked up to be.
I realize now that this sounds kind of cheesy and doesn't illustrate my ideas for the story very well, but please bear with me on this one.

I ran right into a fence and fell down. I got back up and turned around. Blake was right there. He pinned me up against the wood. "You are so stupid!" He chuckled. Their relaxation quickly turns frantic when unexplained explosions rock the neighborhood. A phone call from his friends dad who is stationed on a military base turns weird when he demands for them to get down into a unfinished bunker for safety.
