In her hand was clutched a single piece of ragged and torn paper. On it, she wrote, "Daemons."
And so his world plunged into another.

I was almost to the door when I remembered the leather jacket I brought. I turned back to the room and just as I entered the most wonderful smell hit my nose. My wolf started to go crazy and I looked up to see a small pale girl with black hair in a bun and pale blue eyes. All my wolf kept saying was MATE over and over again. The room blurred until all I saw was her. She was cleaning up the table when her head snapped up to my direction. Her eyes widened and she instantly bowed her head down and stepped back from me. "I am sorry Alpha Colton I did not know you were coming back." She said shaking in fear. Just then Alpha Andrew walked in and slapped her. "DONT JUST STAND THERE CLEAN THIS SHIT UP!" My wolf sprang forward and I grabbed Alpha Andrews throwing him across the room. I Knew i was on the verge of shifting but it was pointless in trying to calm my wolf. "YOU DARE LAY YOUR HAND ON MY MATE!" I growled then grabbed his head smashing it into the wall knocking him out and turned to my mate. She looked at me with wide frightened eyes and backed away. I knew that my eyes were glowing red and my canines were out but I was pissed and didn't have a good temper. When she stepped away from me again I let out a growl and she instantly froze. "MINE." Charity Andrews is a werewolf who hasn't shifted yet. She is abused and mistreated by her pack for this reason because they don't think she is anything but a worthless human. That all changes when Alpha Colton comes for a meeting. Alpha Colton is the coldest meanest Alpha that many fear. When he goes to Alpha Andrews pack to settle a rivalry he didn't expect his mate to be the packs punching bag. He promised softly. **** Marcus felt himself beginning to wake and struggled to stay in the dream. But it was no use. His eyes opened and he released the pillow his hand was gripping. It was the same one that she had laid her head on every night. His head went into the pillow heavily for a moment, breathing in her faint scent. He hated and treasured dreams like that with equal fervor. He rolled over on his back and stared at the ceiling. It had been decades since she'd been forced to break that promise. He lifted his hand and touched the ring that had been her last gift. It had been decades, but it was yesterday. ***I did not skimp on the steamy scenes so consider yourselves warned ok? He sighed again before trying again and I tired to put all my fears away as he once again reached out his hand. I put my head down, hoping that if I couldn't see him, I wouldn't be scared. As I felt his hand on my back and felt tingles explode, I jumped but then relaxed as I got used to it. I calmed down more as he picked up my small frame and held me close before whispering into my ear, "What has happened to you little one?" *~*~*~* Celeste has always been running. When she was little a group of rouges killed most of her pack and the remaining wolves ran, including her. Over the years they have slowly split off until it is only her and her mother running.
