You slowly stand up. "Max? Max LaPlume?"

He gives you a look. "How do you know my last name?"

You clear your throat, trying to think of something to make him realize that it's you. You finally think of the perfect thing.

"Button," you whisper quietly.

He looks at you all dumbfounded for a second before grinning a relieved smile.

"Button?"

"Hey," you playfully say. "Only my mom and grandma calls me that."
