In a society that confines you by its rules, where no one is meant to be different, and every move you make is being carefully watched by a government facility nicknamed C.O.D.E. (Capture and Overpower Department of Eradication), you'd only want to break away, right?
Well, Olivia Hornell does. She has a large fascination with the Old World, and desperately wants to explore and understand it. But her fixation of Old World things causes most people to be afraid and despise her. She tries her hardest everyday not to show emotion- not to show the effect these people are having on her, but she secretly fears that one day she'll crack. She believes letting people know what you're feeling, is another way of telling them you're weakness. Because then, they know how to hurt you. She soon meets a mischievous and outgoing boy named Oliver. Who desperately tries to get her to show any other emotion then the two she's been giving him-mostly anger and indifference.
Oliver West is a mystery to everyone, but he is overlooked. He got his secrets and often doesn't share them, but for some reason he feels compelled to tell Olivia everything. But before he can he has to break down the walls Olivia has build around herself. He knows it may take time to create even a crack in her defense, but he doesn't care. He can see right through her like glass, and is sad to see that she is only breaking herself more by hiding behind her mask.
Will he be able to break her walls, to fix what's within? Will she let him? And where will their journey to find the Old World take them?
