James Coombes is a knowledgeable, confident, outgoing eighteen year-old boy. There's one big problem, he likes a good time. A good time as in, drinking excessively and behaving badly. One might argue that's nothing unusual for an eighteen year old... but you haven't met James Coombes...

Dave and Judith are James' parents. They work hard to cope with rising bills and the general grind of life in the Coombes household. Although James is a only child, he creates enough hassle for about three children.

James has one remaining living grandparent. Geoff, his grandfather. Dave's Dad. Geoff is of the caring sort, he'd do anything for James, that's if James had time for his grandfather. James' parents were struggling to come to terms with the more withdrawn behaviour displayed by James

James has exams coming up in the next couple of weeks, he's in no rush to dust of the textbooks and sit in the library.

Will James live to regret his choices in life?

Breaking Through the Silence

15 parts Ongoing Mature

Sixteen-year-old Jack is starting college with his three best friends, Oscar, Jess, and James. But beneath the surface, Jack is struggling with depression and anxiety, exacerbated by the abuse he endures at the hands of his father. As Jack tries to navigate his new life as a college student, his mental health continues to deteriorate. With the support of his friends, he seeks help and begins to confront his painful past. But as he begins to heal, his father's abuse intensifies, threatening to undo all of Jack's progress. This powerful and emotional coming-of-age story explores the impact of mental illness and abuse on a young person's life. With unflinching honesty, the story delves into the complexities of friendship, trauma, and the resilience of the human spirit.
