18th birthday is that special day where you officially start your adult life and welcome independence. It's one of the happiest day in one's life but that is not the case for Kayla. Kayla Dalton is a 17 years old girl, living with her adoptive parents and their 16 years old daughter. Her life has been going pretty well as a normal teenager till when she turns 18, overnight everything changes. She starts having nightmares. Her best friend of 10 years who is more like a sister starts outcasting her and the guy she liked for two years rejects her on their first date which is on her birthday night. (I wrote this like a year ago and my grammar was literally beyond the worst and the storyline was horrendously written. Beware.) Luna had just been discharged from the mental hospital, and she wasn't sure what her life was going to be like now. She had been struggling with depression for years, and with her mother's death, it had finally gotten so bad that she had attempted to take her own life. But now, she had a new chance at life, and she was determined to make the most of it. She was surprised when the Cullen family offered to take her in, and Luna had always been fascinated by them, ever since her mother had introduced her to the family a few years ago. But now, she was going to be living with them, but she wasn't sure how she felt about that. Luna had never been able to fully come to terms with her mother's death, and it had only added to her depression. But then she met a special someone. He was a boy from the nearby reservation, and he was kind and funny. He also had a secret. She was shocked when she found out, but she couldn't deny the feelings she had for him.
